How to show a coding session live
A canvas is shared as an address. Whoever opens it sees the windows, reads the terminals as they scroll and sees the other cursors, with no account to make and nothing to install. Watching costs nothing and grants nothing.
Step by step
- Open the project canvas. The agents may already be running or not: the link shows the state as it is, not a recording of it.
- Copy the read link. It grants the right to watch and nothing else. Nobody can start an agent, write a file or close a window with it.
- Send it. They open the address in their browser. No account to create, no extension, no invitation to accept.
- Work while they watch. The terminals scroll on their screen at the same time as on yours, and their cursor appears on the canvas with a name and a colour.
What it is actually for
Showing somebody new to agents how you work, letting a client see that the work is moving, or having a colleague watch while a migration runs. In all three the value is being there during, not reading it after.
What the viewer sees
The windows, the terminal contents at the moment they change, the board of claimed files, and the named cursors of everybody else in the room. The same scene you have, not a capture of it.
If you want them to touch it
A canvas shared for writing is a different move, and it is what the plans open: everybody drives their own agents in the same project. See what the canvas is.
Straight answers
Can the person watching break something?
No. A read link carries no write rights: no starting an agent, no writing to a file, no touching the windows. Sharing a canvas somebody can drive is a different thing, and it is what the plan pays for.
How many people can watch at once?
Read links are uncapped and cost the viewer nothing, neither an account nor a payment.
How is this different from a screen share?
A screen share sends a video of your desktop and pins you in place. A canvas link sends the real state: each person looks at the window they want, at their own scale, and terminal text stays text you can copy.
